Empowering Young Artists Through Passion, Performance, and Purpose
At ITLPA, we don’t just teach acting and singing—we nurture good humans. Our approach to youth theater and vocal training in Loudoun County focuses on more than memorizing lines or hitting high notes. We create a safe, inclusive, and professional environment where kids from kindergarten to college freshmen can discover their unique voice, explore their passions, and grow as artists and people. ITLPA is located in the heart of Loudoun County in Ashburn, VA and includes students from local cities and towns, including Sterling, VA, Leesburg, VA, Purcellville, VA and others.

Ignite the Light Performing Arts may be new in name, but our roots run deep. Born from a decade-long partnership with Studio Bleu Dance Center, ITLPA grew from a single performance class into a full-fledged performing arts powerhouse. Now, students from all over Loudoun County join us each week for transformative experiences in youth theater and vocal training.

Tina Smothers
The Voice Behind the Voices
When it comes to voice lessons for youth, few instructors bring the heart, humor, and experience of Tina Smothers. Born and raised in Dodgeville, Michigan, Tina spent her own childhood captivating audiences as a young vocalist. Now, with over 20 years of teaching under her belt, she’s sharing that same spark with the next generation through Ignite the Light and her private coaching studio, Voice by Tina.
