Tailored for students in 5th through 10th grade (rising 5th through rising 11th for summer program), this program bridges the gap between beginner stage experience and pre-professional training. Covering late elementary, middle school, and early high school, FLAMES offers middle school theater and vocal training in Loudoun County that’s structured, inspiring, and fun.

At its core, FLAMES is a full-on musical theater experience. We’re not talking about just learning a few songs and calling it a day — students are immersed in every aspect of performance. From acting and singing to choreography, costume design, and even the nuts and bolts of set construction, this is a hands-on, all-in, comprehensive program that gives young performers a real sense of what it takes to put on a show.

Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays nights from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, with extra time scheduled for tech rehearsals as we get closer to performance week. We keep the schedule manageable for busy families, but the work is focused and meaningful — because we believe students rise to the challenge when the environment is both professional and positive.

In FLAMES, we teach the fundamentals of theater and vocal performance while setting a high standard for excellence. That doesn’t mean we’re strict or rigid — we just know kids are capable of amazing things when given the right tools and support. Our instructors are experienced, passionate, and committed to helping each student grow in both skill and confidence.
